Fear,
It's what keeps you wondering.
Keeps you guessing.
Keeps you wanting just a bit more
To see if things are different
At the end of this new road.
Fear scares you,
But motivates you at the same time.
Makes you wanna give up everything and go.
Makes you wanna prove you're not for show.
Fear is like
Standing in front of a solid wall.
Seems as if you can't break it down.
You wanna know what's on the other side.
But you just can't seem to.
Seems as if no one's around to help you.
But something still makes you wanna break through.
You gain strength with fear.
You gain willpower with fear.
You gain confidence with fear.
It's like being on a boat you try to steer.
Waves are everywhere,
Storms here and there,
Everything standing back,
Not giving a care.
But fear,
It can make you take the wheel.
Can make you do what you feel.
Like a fierce lion looking for an evening meal.
But acting as a scared prey
Hiding, dodging, and trying
To survive through the day.
Fear,
It's like having a gun.
You're in a war.
Your mind racing tends to be
Nothing but a chore.
You wanna take down the enemy,
You wanna win.
You wanna take the first shot towards victory,
But you say,
"I don't have the guts in me."
Sometimes you take your ammo
And you try to give it to another soldier to use.
But in the end, everything always relies
On what you choose.
If you decide to shoot,
If you decide to serve for your country no matter what.
Where you decide to enter and where you decide to exit.
Fear can keep you moving,
It can make you think.
Think of thing's you'd never consider before.
Don't mind having fear,
You might feel as if you're gaining less,
When really,
You're only gaining more.
Everyone owns a fear.
But it only takes one to choose whether or not to take the wheel.
