Element

I try to keep puzzle pieces into place,
But courageous feats just run away.
I stay hidden beneath its paper clones,
Miles of piles like stacked up stones.
I'm trying to find light in this dark place,
But in this box it seems I'm meant to stay.
How will I find some outlet out?
I'm going bare, no one hears my shouts.

I'm so little, I'm so helpless.
Claustrophobic and restless.
These four walls won't seem to break,
But it's my fault, my mistake.
I should have broken free when the chance came.
I need to stand up for myself and not cave.
I'm meant for something better, something great.
I have a purpose not meant for this restraint.
I have two legs and two arms,
Meant for something good, not harm.

I think I'm getting this.
The puzzle pieces are beginning to fit.
I'm finding my new place, my new element.
Courage is the key
To becoming what I was born to be.
To becoming something that is worthwhile.
Something that will go the miles.

Now I know this all starts in me.
