Dauntless

Even though the music was turned off,
And even when the night was still soft,
I felt our intimacy.
Each step we took,
We glided just by ourselves.
With no music playin,
I heard you say,

These are the steps
I chose,

I followed your steps.
I felt we were at a ball.
You were in your tux,
I was in my dress.
We danced around the floor, dauntless.
Then my vision came back to me,
And I saw in your eyes,
I saw that feeling of 'meant to be'.
You slowed down.
Leaned me back.
It was a moment that life just couldn't miss.
Your eyes held onto mine until your head fell down for our kiss.
