2:26

She woke in the dead of the night.
Looked at the clock.
It read 2:20.
Found a note on her side table.
No one was supposed to be in here.
No one was supposed to find her.
Now she felt trouble was about to occur.
She examined her room.
All was too quiet.
She stood and walked to the window.
She unfolded the note.
She analyzed.
It wrote,
"I dare you to.
Give me 10 seconds.
Try to bring me down.
There's gonna be no time left in this town.
(P.S Goddess of the Hunt's arrow fails to hit The Hunter.)"

She looked around.
Tried to find the problem.
One...
She looked outside her window.
Felt the unrelenting breeze slip in.
Two, three...
She looked at her clock.
It read 2:25.
Four...
Then she went and frantically checked
(Five, six...) all of her stuff.
Went all throughout her room.
Seven...
Then she turned her head to her front door.
She ran (eight) and placed her ear on it.
Beep-beep(nine)-beep...

She raced to the other side of her room.
Ten.

BOOM!

Her door exploded.
Her body flung against the wall.
Her apartment wrecked.
She coughed as debris filled the room.
She slowly turned her head around.
He was standing in her doorway.
Black suit, shoes, tie, everything.
She whipped her body around.
Couldn't believe her eyes.
He walked towards her.
She waited for his first move.
Suddenly, he swung his fist,
She blocked his arm,
Twisted it and flipped him to the floor.
They fought.
Neither was going to let either of them win.
He smiled with a slight grin.
She snarled at his glorious face.
In that slight moment,
He brought her down,
Had her pinned.
She couldn't get free.
He then slightly pressed his forearm
against her neck.
Her head unable to lift.
He whispered,
"Little did I know,
You were an assassin too.
Sorry, I have a job to do.
Had to get to you first,
Before you got to me.
I guess we could never be."
Her eyes shut tight,
Took in her last breath.
2:26.
