A Profession That Will Live Opposite of Infamy

She cries.
Every teardrop
Seems to fall with passion.
She's focused.
Has no distractions.
It runs through her mind.
Wraps around her and won't
Unbind.
It's like a climb.
Up the mountain she goes.
Without protection
She stubs each toe.
It's like it goes on forever.
Seems it would be better together.
But she hikes alone.
She accidentally falls into a secret
Drone.
She's in danger.
Someone, come save her!
But no one hears her call.
Enemies surround her.
She runs to find shelter,
The rains begins to pour in.
She's being chased,
And seems to be having trouble finding that safe haven.
That one place, their base.
Then her eyes found the only source of hope.
Flames picture within her eyes.
Smoke caught her throat.
She ran towards the base,
No longer being chased.
Found everything destroyed.
Knew it would've been hard to avoid.
She realized something.
True patriots are lost each day.
Sometimes we just come too late
To try to contradict fate.
She realized one day she, too, may be taken out the hives.
Possibly risk her life just like the attack that took those 7 other lives.
