Overcome the Storms

Looked out the window,
Watched each wave crash into
Our stone wall.
Nothing could penetrate our barriers.
Nightfall on the coast couldn't
Get any scarier.
The sand blew in all directions.
The waves wild and crazy because of a rare evection*.
The night showed no affection.
Our stone wall built tall.
Yet the waves had an aggression
That seemed to never show compassion.
So I stayed on the other side of the window.
And waited for this storm to go.
But never follow my example,
For your heart and mind it will trample.
