An Elegant You and Me

Here we are, an elegant you and me,

Standing tall, as happy as can be.

Your red tie lightly echoing my solid red dress.

Our smiles are wide, extravagant compared to the rest.

You can hear my heels click down the sidewalk,

I can hear your gentleman shoes scrape with grace.

And although the wind unwinds the curls in my hair

Everything else seems to be falling into the right place.

Here we are, an elegant you and me,

Holding hands, just like it was meant to be.

Prom night, I know, could not have been any better,

Because with you by my side, this love grows bigger.

It was meant for us, that red tie and red dress.

His heart's beautiful,
He has an extraordinary soul.
