But we stepped into another world.
A place we immediately set for us.
I saw the water as calm
And I also saw it as rushed.
The place was hushed,
As if it was made for us.
Made for us to see,
Made for us to discover.
We uncovered our own Teribithia.
Our eyes focused on the creek,
The sounds of little waves hitting
Sand and stone.
Together we were out in the woods,
But yet together we were not alone.
Our hearts sat us down upon the water.
Big rocks and boulders as our bridge.
We opened our eyes and let our hearts live.
We talked and skipped rocks,
We found non-durable moss.
This creek and its sand
Just feet away from that civilized place.
Just behind the theater did our kiss
Put a smile on our face.
Just an innocent kiss upon that creek water.
Just an innocent place for us to be together.
We proclaimed it always and forever.
King and Queen of our Teribithia.
