It's a Love Story

Our candles are lit.
The moment sticks,
With every inch covered in rose petals.
Our room, a sacred haven of our love,
Radiates strawberry-vanilla  scents.
Smells, it smells like him, his perfect cologne.
I close my eyes and wait by the phone.
But he's home.
I see his lights beam through the windows,
Off the walls and back at me.
I see his smile as I run to the door.
There he is, my beloved Amor.

I'm wearing his work shirt,
Buttoned up like a dress on me.
He wraps his arms around my waist,
Leaving but little space from what I see.
He tells me he's home,
And I smile, "I know."
He says,
"The candles are lit, our moment's here,
Whisper that sweet voice in my ear.
Take me to our room,
Our sweet haven of love.
I'm dying to know what you're thinking of."

So I close my eyes and I wait for his kiss.
But he's already left my lingering lips.
I chase after him into our sweet haven.
I see his smile as I reach the door.
There he is, my charming Amor.

Sweetheart

And I saw it in his eyes,
He loved me from head to toe.
He worried of what I might know.
But here's the truth about me,
I'll never judge by what I see,
'Cause his heart is what I love.
Attractions are just extra,
His smile is worth it all,
I'll always be there for him,
Be there when he falls.
He's my Bestfriend,
The one I'll be there for 'til the end,
The boy who I'm in love with, with every breath.
He comforts me and cares for me.
And I intend to do the same.
One day, my last name is gonna changed.

Broken River

I'm here at a river,
Walking through from stone to stone.
I'm wondering how far I have left to go.
Seeing the past and present collide,
Wondering when I'll find the other side.
This is a sadness I've never known.

This is true hurt, and true pain.
Why did I choose a path of mistake?
Regret and fear breaks through my hands.
The tears shattering under a hammer's head.
I'm a river not knowing where to go.
This is a sadness I've never known.

Each step I would take,
I never knew what it would change.
I never thought the one thing I love now
Would be affected by my past bad decisions.
I'm here at a river,
Walking from stone to stone.
This is a kind of sadness I wish I'd never known.

Love Is a Mystery

Love is like unwrapping a mystery flavor,
It either works for your tastes buds, or it doesn't.
It has a sense of humor.
It prickles at your tongue.
It doesn't leave you alone.
You begin to wonder and question its flavor.
Is it what you were hoping?
Does it make you want more?
Did it make you smile or scowl?
Was it sweet or foul?

It either understands your taste or it doesn't.
Because love is like unwrapping a mystery flavor.
You don't know which one you're gonna get.
But when you do, you'll either
Love it, hate it, or be undecided.
But, out there somewhere is your perfect mystery flavor.

Mine turned out to be spicy,
Though I prefer sweet.
But sometimes sweet and spice
Turns into everything nice.

Crossed

Infinitely strong.
His heart is what I long.
His love is what I need.
I'm prepared to be of greed.

As long as we're in love,
Truly in love, I mean,
As long as we are what we need,
True love is all we should perceive.

Immeasurable love defines us.
Endlessly loving just as we promised.
Always and forever united.
Amazed and in awe at how
Perfectly our worlds collided.

We will be infinitely strong.
Constantly perfecting ourselves like a song.
Seeing all of our rights and our wrongs,
Not caring one bit about our flaws.
Because being perpetually in love
Is the only place our hearts crossed.

Every Second Is a Kiss

For every raindrop
Is a kiss to you.
For every flower
In the spring that blooms.
For every hour
I never spend with you,
Every second is a kiss to you.

For every star in
The night time sky,
For every tear
That falls from my eyes.
For every waking moment
That I'm alive,
Every second is a kiss to you.

And Still He Loves Me

I'm jealous of how we used to be,
How sweet and innocent you spoke to me.
The way you told me how you felt everyday,
How gently you'd say my name.
I miss the "us" that we were,
The young love that we were.
The innocence in what we would say,
The small gentle kiss we would sneak in.
The endless hugs we'd sink in.
You'd look me in the eyes and smile,
You never even looked down at my body.
You saw me, just me. Only me.
You loved me,
And my heart melted into yours.
You felt my soul and made it soar.
I never knew how long this would last,
But I'm so happy this hasn't passed.

You still love me, even until this day.
Although it's not the same.
I see the difference in the way you smile.
The way you laugh and hold me down.
The difference in the way say my name,
The way you tell me that you'd never love again.
I see it now, how innocent we were then.
We have been through so much together,
So much like always and forever.
I told you that one day and
You said you'd never forget.
It's true, you never did.
You still love me just like we promised.

I might be jealous of how we used to be,
But still to this day your love runs over me.
You're my bestfriend that keeps me in love,
Your my everything that I'd never give up.
